Season Size Guide (+ Shopping Tips)

 The Season Sizing Guide

I first came across Season on Instagram and have been a fan of their work ever since. They are a fantastic French brand with amazing pieces of excellent quality. I was hooked. Despite being really basic, I thought it had a lot of uses. Since then, in addition to innumerable other exquisite items from Season, I've added three more Gaspard cardigans to my closet. Their products are of the highest caliber, and I can't wait for them to last a lifetime.
Let's start by discussing the release dates of Sezane's new collections. There are strict deadlines, and occasionally, the merchandise sells out quickly.

LARGE COLLECTIONS:

CAPSULES: released on Sundays, once a month
RESTOCKS: Wednesdays and Sundays for late-style and sold-out products

Don't forget to subscribe to their emails! You'll be informed of their next look books—which, incidentally, provide AWESOME inspiration—in this way. Additionally, they excel in creating buzz about a new collection on Instagram by sharing mouthwatering videos of the newest items.

Sezane Size Chart

When it comes to Sezane size, you definitely need to pay attention to their website. Fit notes are available for every type, and I believe them to be rather accurate and simple. When I'm ordering anything from a category I don't already own, I start by looking there. Sezane sizes usually run smaller than US sizes because they are (obviously) French. I usually purchase smalls and 4s in everything, and I haven't had many problems. My hips are larger than my waist, therefore bottoms are a little harder for me to fit. I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and weigh between 110 and 120 pounds. Additionally, I strongly advise you to look at how Sezane styles the items.

Since Sezane offers free delivery on orders over $200, it could occasionally be worthwhile to order two sizes to ensure the greatest fit. An additional benefit? free exchanges. Returns have always been a wonderful experience for me. On Monday, I returned something, and on Thursday, I received a credit back.

Gaspard Pullover

This sweater might be among the most well-liked things in Sezane, in my opinion. It was my very first purchase from the company, and it is always replenished. They nearly always carry their fundamental colors first, followed by some seasonal hues that complement the collection or season. The fact that this sweater may be worn in many ways is one of its best features. Actually, I've worn it off-the-shoulder and backwards.

Additionally, I usually button them all the way up and tuck them halfway into my trousers.
I wear a size that is somewhat relaxed and I take my usual size. You can size down if you'd like it a little more fitting. I also wanted to let you know that since this is a wool sweater, it might not be for you if you're sensitive.

Colette Mariniere

I adore this top so much. The first time I saw it, it was accessorized with a black skirt on the internet. I discovered I was lacking an easy white and black tee after thinking the outfit was so stylish. This is a thick cotton fabric that gives it an opulent feel. I adore the button accents at the shoulders; they provide an additional, slightly opulent touch.
This shirt, in my opinion, fits true to size; however, you may choose to size up or down based on your preferred fit.

skirts

Sezane offers an abundance of amazing skirt choices. Their miniskirts are absolutely what draw me in; I believe their silhouettes are so colorful and unique. In addition, I adore them with knee-high boots. I think I finally got the sizing down on my three skirts from Sezane.

I now know to get a size larger in their skirts. I have a smaller waist and curvier hips, and I can wear bottoms that fit me anywhere from a 24-26. The zip front skirt I'm wearing in the post's opening image was my first purchase, and I made the error of ordering a size down. It barely fit, and at the time I got it, other sizes were sold out. But I just adore it so much! I've learned my lesson and am now a size larger in all skirts and pants.

Ballet Matilda

I purchased a pair of sneakers from Season over a year ago. However, I'm overjoyed that I took the plunge and purchased the Matilda ballet flats. They look extremely stylish!  I simply sensed that leopard was going to take off, and breaking them in wasn't at all difficult for me. The leather is quite velvety. All in all, they were just incredibly comfortable.
To my surprise, there was some room in the rear when I first got them. Fortunately, I always have ankle and heel guards on hand because I use them in every new pair of shoes. It seemed too small on me, so I'm still not sure if I should have sized down to the 5.

Trench Coat Clyde

Customers' hearts have been entirely won over by a more recent style called the Clyde Trench Coat. I’ve been seeing this trench all over social media, and I was tremendously influenced. Despite being quite undecided between the colors—all of them are so lovely—I chose the Ecru. However, who really steals the show? The small check lining.

Dip Clothes Clyde

A more contemporary look known as the Clyde Trench Coat has completely captured the hearts of customers. This trench has been all over social media, and it has greatly influenced me. I'm not sure which color I like best—they're all so pretty—but I went with ecru. But who actually takes center stage? The tiny checkered interior.
I struggled a lot also to decide what size to order. Since I practically always want to be able to layer, I usually purchase jackets in a US 6. Furthermore, I still like clothes to fit large on me, even if I'm not layering a lot.

Coat. The website also advised going one size smaller if you were in between sizes. Be mindful of the length if you're small-framed like me. Since I genuinely adore long coats, I was thrilled about it!

Accessories:

Sezane accessories are something I really like. They have so many square scarves that I own. I really adore that they are the ideal little accent to the majority of my outfits. I've also added some amazing accessories for the cold weather, sunglasses (which I'm now eyeing), and jewelry throughout the past year. The solitary similarity between them? Everything is crafted with such excellence.

Purchasing at Season

I just downloaded the Season app, and I have no idea why it took me so long to utilize it or what I've been doing! You may enable push alerts for the app, which is useful because styles, colors, and sizes tend to run out quickly. I've discovered this the hard way—I'm dying for a piece I saw in the look book, but I miss the launch and it sells out. I really enjoy buying in this way because I'm a major impulse buyer. I believe that as the years have gone by, I've really started to teach myself to buy items that I KNOW I will keep for a very long time and that are very versatile.

Another piece of advice is to watch your order total. You will be required to pay a customs fee if you reside in the US and your total is approximately $800 or more. (and NOONE wants to do that). So just something to consider when you are shopping!

There are a few US locations for Sezane if you enjoy shopping in person: New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and San Francisco. And of course Paris and London too!

Adding exquisitely crafted, superbly quality pieces to your wardrobe while shopping at Sezane will make you feel more put together every day. And isn’t that the objective of getting dressed?!
