Currently Crushing: Winter Coats

OPTIMAL WINTER WEAR! My appreciation and love for a well-made coat or jacket have truly grown. Since you are wearing a fantastic ensemble underneath, let's face it: a well-chosen winter coat may elevate an ensemble. All right, so even if everything doesn't work out, you'll still be toasty.

At last, I believe my collection of coats and jackets is perfect for any temperature required for winter in New York City or any other area with a winter. Now let's discuss them!

Top Women's Winter Coats

PORTABLE PUFFER COAT

A classic in every New Yorker's closet—especially if it's black—everyone owns a puffer jacket (pardon my dramatic tone). We can definitely be pals if you get the reference to the black puffer. Anyhow. Yes, a puffer, I see. You will require one if you live in a cold climate. I'm so pleased that I purchased this puffer during the Black Friday bargains. The tight waist is the major reason I adore it; it prevents me from looking like a toasted marshmallow when I walk the dog. Additionally, I'm very like this short metallic puffer; if I still can't get enough of it by the end of the year, I may have to add it to my collection!

EXTENDED PUFFER COAT

Speaking of burnt marshmallows, your clothing choices depend on the outside temperature. I will thus be hauling out this bad boy if the temperature drops below twenty degrees or below. I'm not even close to being a customer of Aritzia, but I felt compelled to check out this puffer after hearing such positive things. To put it mildly, I felt this Canada Goose jacket was superior, therefore I sold the other one. And it's still going strong after three years (I wish I had another photo for this puffer, but this one from 2021 will do, lol).

I’d only recommend this puffer coat if you live in an area with SUPER cold winters. Something warmer than 20 degrees? Not worthwhile. I promise that if it's 35 degrees outside and I'm wearing this coat, I'm perspiring.

WOOL TOPCOAT

You know when you have *the* item in your closet that you know you need but haven't located yet? I thought the same thing about a long wool topcoat.
For some reason, it always makes me think of my dad and his work clothes. I knew I had to get this amazing coat as soon as it was out. Actually, I put off buying for a few weeks, and I'm quite happy I did. I bought my size since I thought there wouldn't be much left, and the next day? DEAD. I also adore these two as well. I should also mention this indulgence.

SHERPA COAT

Fashionistas like you have undoubtedly seen the amazing Max Mara teddy coat. Even though I adore it, I could never really justify the price, so I had to find a decent substitute. During my quest, I came upon this Apparis coat by accident and never regretted buying it. I consider it to be one of the best winter coats, and it has become such a staple in my wardrobe.
