Spring Capsule Wardrobe: Key Staples to Wear this Season
Returning by popular demand! Here is the spring capsule wardrobe for 2024! I appreciate your patience while I adjusted the chosen items. As those of you who have followed me for some time know, I have been designing capsule outfits for years. I began creating this collage-style format in the fall of 2021 (I was photographing each look on myself in 2019), and over the course of the last several seasons, you guys have asked that I be photographed in each look once more. I'm starting the spring capsule with both collage-inspired concepts and self-styled ensembles. From now on, I'll be shooting more springtime capsule looks and adding to this post, LTK, and my daily looks. Therefore, be sure to return for updates.
Additionally, since I've been making these capsule wardrobes for a few years, you all ought to have a solid foundation of necessary pieces in your wardrobes by now. I still use a few of the pieces that were featured in Fall 2021 on a weekly basis. The new spring capsule products ought to be combined with those pieces. Think of those as your essentials. You may now add the capsule pieces to your closet to give it a modern, updated, and clean feel. There are ways to include these new elements into your close while maintaining a sense of who you are. For instance, this year's huge return of the vest will not be worn by everyone in the same way.
Though I'm styling the vest for spring, you could want to pair it with your go-to pair of jeans and shoes, and that's exactly what you should do.
You may find last year's spring capsule, which features a lot of fantastic core items, at the end of this post. I'll be working on a comprehensive blog article with all of the essential closet pieces (core goods) so you can check it out later. either to refresh certain things or to create a solid wardrobe. The intention behind these postings is to serve as a guide for you on how to dress for the spring, what to bring for springtime trips, and how to feel comfortable putting together new looks with items you already own.
Ivory Blazer
This exquisite ivory jacket from MAYSON pushes the limits of the traditional male piece for a more feminine aesthetic. The waist-defining design and traditional suiting details, such as notched lapels and front pockets, elongate the female form and enhance its beauty. When worn with a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers for running around the city, an ivory colored jacket like this one for spring is ideal for achieving the casual-cool edge!
Camel Blazer
An impeccable camel blazer is essential for spring, and this one from MAYSON is no exception. This wardrobe essential is ideal for a low-key look with jeans (or jean shorts) and a t-shirt, or even put over a sundress. Its relaxed, boyfriend-inspired design, simple lining, and ultra-luxe, flowing fabric are all signature features.
Denim Shacket
This is without a doubt my all-time favorite denim layering item that I've had for years. It's ideal for a spring capsule wardrobe. This lighter shacket is the ideal transition piece because denim jackets can occasionally be a touch too hefty for breezy springtime weather. For a transitional spring piece, I particularly adore the faded wash. This shacket, which costs less than $200, has drop shoulders and a rounded hem for a more relaxed, attractive drape. To make it more comfortable, I went up to a medium size.
Cropped Trench Coat
There's a solid reason why cropped trench coats are in right now. With a more relaxed style that reads more like a blazer or small jacket, they offer the polished, stylish vibe of a full-length trench. This trench coat from Banana Republic has storm flaps, a double breasted clasp, and a notched collar—all the hallmarks of a traditional trench coat.
Leather Lady Jacket
I'm switching out my vintage leather moto jacket with a leather lady jacket this season. The lady jacket is a modern, much more femme forward interpretation of the classic bomber jacket. Although the silhouette is more fitted and the collar is not present, the leather jacket style is still appropriately edgy. In addition, it is really light, which makes it appropriate for the time of year.
Camel Vest
This season, vests are still very popular, and MAYSON the label's camel vest top is a fantastic choice. With a somewhat looser silhouette and a refined yet lightweight twill construction, this vest looks great with denim and matches well with both its camel jacket and pants. The finest aspect? You may adjust the black belt to achieve a nipped-waist effect!
